Junior Supervision Policy

Primary School Juniors

Primary School Children are to be accompanied by a Parent/Guardian on the practice facilities and on the golf course at all times, unless it is an organised coaching session.

Autumn Term Year 7 will be deemed as the officially recognised window when they are to be classed as Secondary School Juniors.

Parent/Guardian supervising a child in a competition must register in the Professional Shop to notify Professional staff they will be spectating on the course during a competition. All spectators must follow Devon Golf spectator code - please click here to view this.

Secondary School Juniors

Due to our new Primary School supervision policy there may be occasions in Junior Club Competitions when a Secondary School Child will be in a group which has a spectator. It will be the sole responsibility of the parent/guardian of any Secondary School Junior Member to supervise their child on the course, should they be uncomfortable with their child being in the company of the aforementioned spectator.

If Juniors wish to play in Adult Competitions it is not the responsibility of the Club, volunteers or PGA Professionals to monitor or supervise juniors playing in such Competitions.

Three Juniors are not permitted to sign up to one tee time in an Adult Competition.

If your child wishes to play in a Saunton adult event, they will be playing with a variety of Adult Members in such competitions, and this may extend to adult visitors in Open events.

Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Policy

We believe that golf belongs to everybody, and that all who play and all who aspire to play must have an equal opportunity to do so. You can read our policy here.
